Market failure – can the traditional market survive?

The Communities and Local Government Committee has published its Market report which has just landed with a heavy thud on my desk. Recommendations include more guidance and control from Central Government, which from my perspective will certainly achieve their goal of ‘Market Failure’. I would prefer it if the politicians concentrated on getting UK PLC out of debt and leave the markets to the professionals!
